At 6:45, Ellie bounced into our room to greet the day. The Gorse Fox and Silver Vixen were not ready and suggested that Ellie return to her room for 15 minutes. She did, and we got a few more minutes in bed. Once we were on the go, Ellie had some breakfast, got washed and ready for school, and then decided to stick some pictures on her bedroom door (we had told her not to stick anything on the walls). Unfortunately, all but three fell off during the day so she was less than amused when she got back from school and had to stick them back up. Urban-Cub popped in so that she could walk to the school with us. Then she disappeared for a long day at the store.
The Gorse Fox spent the morning looking back at the blog extracts. He decided that the program used to perform the extract needed some refinement. There are entries in the private section of the blog that contain no significant information - for example, old calendar entries from when the Gorse Fox was still working. These have now been filtered out of the extract. Once this was done, the Gorse Fox ran some more extracts and then started to format and edit the 2020 entries.
The weather was gorgeous if a little chilly. It meant that the Orangery was the ideal spot to sit and read for an hour or so before we collected Ellie. When we did meet her at school, we stopped off at the park for 15 minutes to allow her to let off steam.
Back home, Ellie helped the Gorse Fox prepare dinner. Then she promptly turned her nose up at it when it was put on her plate. That drives the Gorse Fox mad.
Ellie is staying with us overnight again tonight.
