It has been a while since we have had a full G-Force day. Urban-Cub was working all day but Ellie had an Inset day (where there is no school for the children). She was dropped off at 7:30 and has been with us throughout the day.
During the morning, the Gorse Fox popped out to fill the Skoda with petrol and put it through the car wash. It was filthy! Whilst the queue at the petrol station was negligible, the car wash was a different matter. The Gorse Fox joined a queue with at least 8 cars visible in front. Despite that, it didn't take too long and the car looks pristine again.
Since lunchtime, the Gorse Fox has been playing some phonics and word games with Ellie. This was at her prompting. She is getting really good at reading and rarely needs help.
This evening, the Silver Vixen is going out with Cousteau-Cub to see Giovanni Pernice at the theatre in Southsea. The Gorse Fox is now in charge and is sure that there is mischief to be had, if only we could think of some. Ellie is washed, her teeth have been cleaned and she is ready for bed. Currently, she is playing on her tablet, but the Gorse Fox will go and read her a story in a few minutes. She has been an absolute treasure all day.
