It was 6:28. Ellie wandered into our bedroom and announced that her iPad(*) wouldn't let her do anything. The Gorse Fox looked at his watch and realised that the last week's changes would keep the tablet locked until 6:30. He sent her back to her room and explained that it would be ok in a couple of minutes. She disappeared and we didn't hear from her again until 7:00. Perfect.
Urban-Cub came around in time to walk with us to school. She has a day off today so Ellie will be back home overnight. The Gorse Fox wandered home and spent several minutes de-icing the car. With the Silver Vixen on board, he drove to Angmering to drop her off for her Pilates session. He then went on to Worthing in order to meet up for a game of football.
The teams were somewhat lop-sided. The Gorse Fox played in orange but the yellow team had the two most mobile (and youngest) players. We were soon under the cosh. Having said that, we did score the first goal. Our passing was good, but we were on a hiding to nothing. The final score was 7-4. The Gorse Fox had a few flashes of skill but in general, it was a mediocre performance.
After lunch, the Gorse Fox walked into the village to get his hair cut. He like to keep it short and had to keep encouraging the barber to take a bit more off. Back home, he had a quiet hour in the Orangery, making the most of the sunshine and then went up to the study to continue formatting and editing the 2020 blog extract.
(*) Ellie doesn't have an iPad here. She has a Kindle Fire Kids+, but she refers to it as her iPad. (She does have an iPad at home)
