The Gorse Fox may have mentioned that some self appointed busy body has been looking at the possibility of altering the public gardens in front of our house, and turning them into a car park. It goes without saying, that the neighbours are not happy.
The Gorse Fox always thinks that the best way to deal with issues like this is to do some research first... not to get to the bottom of the rumour - that would reveal that their plan had leaked. No, the idea is to try and find what planning conditions, covenants, sales conditions, and so forth exist and cover these gardens. To that end, the Gorse Fox has spent much of the day reading through the original planning conditions and restrictions (put in place by the Secretary of State, in 2006), reading sales literature, reading the Neighbourhood Plan, and re-reading our own contract and covenants.
The Gorse Fox has asked for a meeting with Berkeleys (the developer) and will also take it up with our local Councillor. We will see where that takes us.
