Blended and feathered

It was a lazy start. Urban-Cub had the day off and she was taking Ellie to pre-school and then going straight onwards to the hairdresser. As she was taking the car, it was pretty pointless the Gorse Fox joining them.

Ocado turned up early. In fact, 30 minutes early. This wasn't a problem and it did get us off to quick start to the morning chores. As soon as the Ocado delivery was packed away we headed off to vote in the local elections and then complete the week's shopping at Lidl and Sainsbury's.

By 11 a.m. everything was done and the Silver Vixen could retire to her sewing room and the Gorse Fox to his study. He has spent the day learning and working with photoshop. He has created a first draft of a cover for the Empson book by blending about 8 or 10 separate photos in a number of layers. These allowed the Gorse Fox to fiddle with the transparency between the layers... but having now looked at the completed composite, there is clearly more work to do. The issue is that the transitions between the images (or portions of images) is too harsh. What the Gorse Fox is after is a more blended or feathered approach that completely disguises the transitions. Clearly, some more YouTubing and some more practice is required.
