That's better. The weather today was much more like what we would expect. There was, predominantly, bright sunshine, it was warm, and there was a smattering of clouds to keep the sky interesting. We dropped Ellie off at Dizzy Ducklings then wandered home.
Being Wednesday, the Silver Vixen had Zoom Pilates and the Gorse Fox, football.
Football was a most enjoyable affair. We dropped the 3-touch rule that had been implemented with Covid. The idea being that it reduced contact. Well, today we just got on with it... and saw no noticeable increase in contact. As a defender it does make the football much more enjoyable, allowing the Gorse Fox to range forward with the ball. Unfortunately, his new boots were the source of a great deal of banter, and on several occasions when he mishit the ball, he blamed it on being dazzled by the brightness of his boots. He isn't sure they believed him.
Back home, the Gorse Fox got embroiled in the Joni Mitchell Project. He popped next door. Tinkerbell had been in touch with an old friend and managed to get some advice from her. Then he called our managing agents and asked about this secret cabal. Our managing agent provided the names, and expressed their fury at the whole ill-conceived idea. Very laudable, but it doesn't actually prevent anything. The Gorse Fox wrote to the neighbours to keep them in touch with progress so far.
