It was a quiet morning after yesterday's late-is night. Having eaten later than usual, neither of us slept particularly well. No matter, there wasn't a specific plan for the day. As it happens, the Silver Vixen spent most of the day switching from her summer wardrobe to her autumn/winter wardrobe and storing the summer clothes away until next year.
Cousteau-Cub turned up at breakfast time, having dropped the Coventry Hobbit at work and taken Tyson for a walk. She was collecting the Urban-Cub so she could retrieve her car from Chichester, where she left it last night.
The Gorse Fox spent some time working with old photos, some time updating the family tree, and some time helping Urban-Cub. We did finally make a decision on the car seats. These are now on order.
Urban-Cub was cleaning her car ready for valuation tomorrow. This, for her, was a labour of love. She loves cleaning cars. Two Hats got involved and helped by removing a couple of tiny dings in the bodywork. The finished article looks as good as new. Tomorrow she will get a valuation and, depending on that, will relinquish the car or contact Kia and tell them to take it back. Hopefully, the valuation will be good because she will end up in profit.
The short ribs have turned out to be a big hit. The sauce, like yesterday's rub, had no quantities specified, so the Gorse Fox did it by guesswork. The ribs were then cooked in sauce for 4 hours. The Gorse Fox wishes he could have bottled the aroma that suffused the kitchen during the cooking process. It was sensational.
