Firstly, the Gorse Fox should point out that today is Agent Mulder's Birthday. The Gorse Fox has spent a while today on WhatApp chatting with him nd catching up on all of the news. Certainly his first year of retirement has been a little more constrained than that of the Gorse Fox.
Ellie went off to the child-minder and the Gorse Fox, soon after, headed off to football. It was a full house today. Four teams of 6. The Gorse Fox was in "Light One" (one of the two teams wearing white shirts). We started well with some lovely passing, but actually lost the first game 3-2. We stuck to our strategy of pass-and-move and comfortably won the second and the third games. This left the Gorse Fox in a dilemma.
Was he feeling fit enough to stay on and play another hour. This hour was full running football. Well?
No chance. He still isn't up to that level of fitness... maybe next week.
There's another game tomorrow. Let's hope he pushes the fitness just that little bit further.
