It was a cool bright morning. Ellie joined grandpa downstairs before anyone else emerged. She had her water and some toast; the Gorse Fox had coffee. She watched a cartoon, he read the papers online. This is becoming "our time".
The Silver Vixen was next to come down She had Pilates this morning so needed to get underway. She was also dropping E~llie at the child-minder on her way through, so Ellie needed to get washed and dressed. Urban-cub arrived and took control.
The Gorse Fox watched all of the chaos and then started on the week's Ocado shop. The Silver Vixen and Ellie had gone by the time he finished, and Urban-cub was upstairs getting dressed. She would spend the rest of the day completing her CV and send it off to all and sundry. The Gorse Fox had football.
The game was a pleasant and good-natured 7-a-side. It was clear from the outset that the Gorse Fox was destined to be on the losing team. The selection had been grossly lop-sided. We did what we could, and by half-time were only 1-0 down. The Gorse Fox was under concerted pressure and hardly strayed to the half-way line, let alone beyond. In the end, we managed to keep the score to 4-2. It had been a good hour's exercise.
This afternoon, the Gorse Fox went across to see Old Bill. He wants to buy an iMac. He had done some research and narrowed it down to one of four. The Gorse Fox helped him work through the options and finally select the most appropriate model for his requirements. Now let's see if he goes ahead!
Urban-cub and the Gorse Fox popped across to Halfords to get the new child car seat for Ellie. This is a nice model and is currently tucked in the boot of the Gorse Fox's car ready to be fitted in her new car tomorrow.
