The morning started with a quiet Ellie/Grandpa hour. This is becoming the norm. The Gorse Fox doesn't mind as it's nice to have some quiet time with just the two of us. Once everyone was on the go, the Gorse Fox grabbed his bag and headed into Worthing. There was football to play! The forecast had suggested that rain was possible, but fortunately it held off.
The games went well. The Gorse Fox was in the centre of defence, as usual. We shipped a goal fairly quickly, but then got to grips with the positioning and pushed forward. In the end we won 5-1. The second game was another win (2-0), but the the last game was a 2-0 loss. That was the first hour finished.
The Gorse Fox had booked for the second session. This is, as he has explained before, full running football. This was a hard fought hour and, to be honest, the Gorse Fox doesn't remember the score but he thinks that we just edged it, overall. Over the two hours he had managed to run about 8km... and didn't feel too tired. Hopefully, the fitness is beginning to return.
Back home, Urban-Cub has been working on the job hunt but took time out mid-afternoon to take Ellie to the park. Ellie's been very good throughout the day and we were pleased to hear from the child-minder that the other child who had been tested for Covid-19 had received a negative result. Ellie will be able to go back to LA tomorrow.
The Gorse Fox heard from Old Bill. He's bitten the bullet and order his iMac. He should collect it on Thursday. The Gorse Fox has offered to help him if he has any queries.
