The Gose Fox and Silver Vixen had a quiet morning. He made the most of the time by returning to the study and working on the selection of photos and their placement in the photo book he is developing for the 1970s. He has now completed his way through to the middle of '76 but several further hours work will be required to complete the decade.
The Christmas Festivities have begun. We had arranged, back in November, to meet up with the Sonning Crew and have lunch together on Christmas Eve. At noon we set off for Chichester. The traffic was negligible and the bus was trying to beat the land speed record, so we arrived in no time. The table was booked at The Giggling Squid and though we had arrive forty minutes early, we were able to take our table immediately.
We had a lovely lunch with lots of inconsequential chat and plenty of banter with the waiting staff. It was a delightful couple of hours. Cousteau-cub came in to say hello as we were finishing. She had just finished work and was no finished for a few days. She didn't stay for long, but it was nice to see her so relaxed.
We hopped on the bus home and the Crew came in to spend the rest of the afternoon with us. We laid on some festive drinks and nibbles and just sat and chatted. It was a perfect way to start the Christmas festivities.
