For the Gorse Fox at least, it has been a quiet day. The Silver Vixen went across to LA to help Urban-Cub with her Christmas food shopping. They decided to go to Morrisons and that proved to be a wise move. They were able to go straight in, park, and find everything they needed in the store. Other stores were absolutely rammed again, but Morrisons turned out to be quite civilised.
Left at home, the Gorse Fox washed all the floors downstairs and started to prepare the Orangery for the onslaught. Having done that, he retired to the study and spent several hours selecting photos from the 1970s for our next photo book. He still has to process 78, and 79, but it has been fun looking through the archives.
Mid-afternoon the Silver Vixen phoned to say she was leaving LA and on her way home. Unfortunately, there had been an accident on the A259 and the road was closed. She diverted up through Yapton and Barnham and eventually up to A27 and back via Tangmere. Overall, it took her well over an hour to get home.
We had appointments at Sainsbury’s and M&S to pick up the final items of food that we had ordered. This was relatively pain free, and with the last groceries stashed in the fridge, we are all set.
