Despite the worse fears of the Gorse Fox, we had a seismic result in the Election. The Marxist-led Labour Party were hammered, receiving their worst results for a generation. The Conservative won a huge majority. Let us just hope that they use it wisely. It just goes to show that all the social media "shouting in a barrel" is a very small, if vocal, subset of the population.
In celebration the sky was blue and the sun shone. A fitting celebration for the result.
Ellie had been good overnight, not waking until nearly eight o'clock. Once up and about she was the focus of the morning. Several bowls of cereal, a bowl of porridge, and various snacks kept her going while she did some drawing, some modelling with play-dough and generally played with her toys. Pistol Pete came along at lunchtime to collect her.
We made the most of the afternoon with a trip to Sainsbury's for the next instalment of provisions for the Xmas entertaining and also stopped off a Turner's for some pies. After that, the Gorse Fox retired to the study to print the labels for Xmas cards. We are a bit late this year, but it's done now. (It always takes longer than expected because it is something he only does once a year and has to remember how to do it each time).
