It’s been a pretty random day. The weather had been mild and dry this morning but the rain has started again with vengeance as the sun went down.
We had a quiet start to the day after yesterday’s late night. A brochure dropped through the letter from the hotel we stayed at in Sidmouth. They had some good deals so we bit the bullet and decided to cancel our planned Tripp to Salcombe in February and switch to Sidmouth again. A few clicks and a phone call later everything was set.
The post also included some mail for Cousteau-Cub and we had an Amazon parcel for her, too. As the Silver Vixen hasn’t yet seen their flat, the Gorse Fox convinced her to come along for the ride. It was early afternoon so there was no traffic and we were there in no time. Cousteau-Cub was busy on her laptop (whilst watch The Goonies) but showed the Silver Vixen round. She looks properly settled now. The Coventry Hobbit was at work, so we didn’t see him.
Back home, we made the most of the pleasant afternoon and got out into the garden to wrap everything up for the winter. It didn’t take too long but it was noticeable how quickly the light was beginning to fail. That’s what you get for going outside on the Winter Solstice.
The Gorse Fox has spent the rest of the afternoon working on his recent photos, ensuring all the face recognition is correct..
