It was a fairly normal start to a Saturday (at least it was for us). No alarms set and get up when you are ready. For the Gorse Fox, this meant a lie-in until 7:20. The Silver Vixen emerged a while later. The Gorse Fox had his room call with the cousins and then got on with some admin and chores.
We were expecting the Silver Vixen's cousins from Brighton. They had been to Southampton to drop off their youngest. He has a gig playing drums for the Gary Barlow house band on the P&O cruise ship Iona for the next 4 or 5 months. He had to be there for 10:00 so that he could board and move into isolation (in a suite) for a few days before he can start to mix with the crew. It should be a wonderful experience for him.
Sue and Trevor dropped in on their way back and we sat and chatted over several coffees. They too had been affected by Covid over the Christmas period as it managed to touch everyone in their family over the holiday. We clearly got away lightly with only Urban-Cub affected (though she may not see things that way).
It has been a quiet afternoon with the Silver Vixen in her study sewing, and the Gorse Fox in his study trying to piece together another fragment of her family tree.
