The Gorse Fox wishes you all a Happy New Year.
We had a lovely evening with the Sonning Crew. Each couple provided one course for dinner. Two Hats and Tinkerbell made a lovely salmon terrine for starter. The Gorse Fox made pork fillets in soy and ginger, with hasselback potatoes and salad. Old Bill and Lady Penelope mad a cheesecake with some ice cream. It was a longe leisurely dinner and seemed to be thoroughly enjoyed by all. The Gorse Fox was surprised when Old Bill said he had never had hasselback potatoes before (and clearly liked them), and the soy and ginger sauce, served in a gravy boat disappeared as quickly as the wine.
We watched the fireworks at midnight and then a bit of Jools Holland's Hootenanny. Everyone left by 1:00 and we were in bed by 1:15.
