We had nothing scheduled. There was no reason to set an alarm. We had a deliciously relaxed start to the day.
The Silver Vixen spent the day at her sewing project. The Gorse Fox spent some time in the digital archives. The Silver Vixen's enigmatic grandmother had several step-brothers and sisters, though she was the eldest of the brood. The famous "stream of consciousness" letters from Aunt Queenie were laced with the odd clue or reminiscence regarding some of them. The Gorse Fox had no data to flesh out these names, nor validate Queenie's letters. Today was focussed on thesis individuals... with very little expectation of success.
Oh ye of little faith. One by one, the Gorse Fox managed to identify each of the step-siblings and trace the outline of the life-stories. In several cases other people had done bits of research, but in every case the Gorse Fox proved conclusively that their conclusions were incorrect. By the end of the session the Gorse Fox had nailed it... and every one of the memories in Queenie's letters had been corroborated. The Gorse Fox is feeling very smug.
Urban-Cub is back at work tomorrow, though Ellie will be spending the day with a friend. We'll see here briefly at the end of the day before Urban-Cub comes to collect her.
