Karma

The Gorse Fox was presented with a conundrum. The Silver Vixen had been to the farm shop for some dry food for Jasper. When she got in the car to return, the Dash Cam played its start-up chime, then continued to chime all the way home. Could the Gorse Fox fix it?

Firstly, he thanked his lucky stars that he didn't tease Old Bill about the problems he had been having with the Dash Cam on the Mercedes. (Karma could be a bit of a devil). Then he set about trying to find a solution. The first problem was to find out how the camera actually fitted in the car. It turns out that it is held in place by an immensely strong magnet. Then he had to download the latest firmware update and find out how to apply it.

It didn't seem to make much difference what he did; as soon as he powered up the chiming would start and it wouldn't do anything else. Eventually, he found a tiny recess that said "Reset". A paperclip was applied. The chiming stopped. The SD Card was removed and reformatted on the Mac and the firmware update moved onto the empty disk. Power was disconnected then reconnected. The firmware update was applied and everything started to behave as it should.

Urban-Cub is at work today, so G-Force are on duty until the morning.
