Biking

Urban-Cub had arranged for a friend to come and visit, that meant that the Silver Vixen and Gorse Fox were double-teaming on Ellie for much of the day. Even though she had woken up in a bit of a strop, she was actually very good as we kept her occupied with one thing or another.

This afternoon, the Gorse Fox took her out for a ride on her bike. The Gorse Fox had a strap attached to the handlebars to keep her close by and in the end it turned out useful for carrying the bike. Her technique for riding a bike is to sit on the seat and push down with one foot, and back pedal with the other. Then she pushes down with the same foot again. She will end up with one leg with well-developed muscles and the other quite normal. As it happens, this technique is not ever so efficient and after the first 50 yards she got off and walked, leaving the Gorse Fox to carry the bike.

The Gorse Fox had taken the gimbal with him and had the iPhone set for video. He was very impressed with the stability of the image he was capturing (bearing in mind he had the iPhone on the gimbal in one hand and the bike in the other). He also used the face tracking feature so that the phone swivelled automatically to keep Ellie in the picture as she moved around. He's very pleased with the DJI Osmo 3 gimbal but really can't claim to be completely au fait with all it's features and functions. He will clearly have to get a lot more practise.
