Talking of things that do not end well, the Gorse Fox saw a comment that you can download Lotus Symphony and use it to access old Lotus files. The Windows laptop was retrieved from under the desk. Power was switched on. The usual Windows updates were applied and then the Gorse Fox was able to download Symphony. Finally, it burst into life. The Gorse Fox accessed the NAS to find some of the old ".SAM" files created by Amipro which was subsumed into WordPro which was eventually part of Symphony. Nada. Niet. It wouldn't even open the files let alone convert them to something of use. That was an hour or two wasted.
The Gorse Fox finished off a video of a holiday from 2008. This was a trip, with Urban-Cub, to Nerja in Andalucia. It was only a week, but it was a lovely holiday. He's now started to work on a video from 2004 when the Gorse Fox and Silver Vixen went down to Fowey for her birthday.
