The decent weather was back again, It was cold at first but the skies were crystal clear and the sun shone brightly, low in the winter sky. It was gorgeous.
The Gorse Fox had football and the Silver Vixen was aiming to get some shopping out of the way - most importantly the Christmas Cards.
As a rule when the Gorse Fox arrives at football there is a spare pitch open for him to warm up. Not so today. He went up onto the running track and started to walk round at increasing speeds. Then once warm he started to sprint when on the straights, then walk round the bends. This was great, but now as he writes this he realises this was perhaps a little rash. His thighs are suffering this evening.
As for the football we had three games and our "yellow" team looked like the weakest of all. We lost the first game 1-0 and the Gorse Fox was sure that this was the start of a run. The second team we played looked like the strongest of the lot. That's when things started to sway towards us. We won that game 3-1, then won the last game 2-0. We ended up top of the heap with more points than any other.
Back home we had a quiet afternoon, though the Gorse Fox popped out to get his hair cut. He's surprised that he came back with a decent haircut as the woman who runs the shop (and did his hair) had just had a row with her landlady. She was clearly distracted. It turns out that she's planning to move, but meanwhile her contract has expired and there is some maintenance required that the landlady says is her responsibility. The Gorse Fox is glad that he escaped with both ears intact.
The new childcare spreadsheet is now complete and fully documented. The Gorse Fox is waiting to hear from Urban-Cub to check she's happy with it.
