Boxing Day

It was another busy family day. The Gorse Fox's sister and family were due, and Ellie would be back with us in the afternoon.

The morning was spent preparing lunch and working out the intricate timings for the various dishes being prepared. This should work like clockwork.

Well it should.

In practise, the Gorse Fox got chatting to the Mask and Trevor and lost track of time. That blew the intricate timings. The other problem was that he roasted the lamb in the top oven. He is not convinced  that this is quite as effective as the lower oven. The consequence was that the lamb wasn't quite as tender as he would have hoped.

Urban-Cub and Pistol Pete turned up with Ellie just as we were about to sit down for lunch. As Urban-Cub had just finished her shift at the airport, she was hungry, so she joined us for lunch. As usual is was a bit of a feast with plenty for everyone.

The rest of the day revolved around Ellie. While still a little under the weather, she was still her cheerful and inquisitive self.
