Well today is the day.
The Gorse Fox climbed into the garage loft and retrieved the decorations. We are very much of the "Twelve Days of Christmas" meme... and as such the decorations do not go up until the weekend prior to Christmas, and they have to come down on or before the 6th of January.
The Gorse Fox has put up the lights and done whatever shifting may be required, but then has backed off to allow the Silver Vixen to do her annual decorative faff-fest. This will probably continue into tomorrow, but the Gorse Fox has to stay out of the way.
One of the tasks today was to submit the registration for the new washing machine. Not really worth mentioning other than the fact that the Gorse Fox went back to the John Lewis site in order to follow the click-through link. In doing so he noticed that the price of the machine had been reduced by £90 in the last few days. He opened an online chat with John Lewis and challenged them on their never knowingly undersold explaining that they were in fact competing with themselves. They didn't hesitate and refunded the £90 immediately. Result!
Much of the afternoon has been spent with Sketchup. The Gorse Fox decided he wanted to start on some design ideas of his own, rather than just rely on the architect. We'll see what comes of it... but to start with, he has all of the dimensions for the plot footprints.
