Bright but definitely cold today. Again the Gorse Fox skipped football but the Silver Vixen went off to Pilates.
The Gorse Fox had a quiet morning tidying up some stuff on the computer and also part of his study. That really could do with a more concerted rationalisation in the near future. At least he can see some floor in there, unlike the Silver Vixen who's sewing room is currently stuffed with all sorts of items that we cannot find other homes for. This includes our two suitcases which, while big enough for our travels, are too big to squeeze into the loft.
During the afternoon the Gorse Fox had an appointment in Chichester so we hopped on the bus for the run through to town. Arriving a bit early we walked up to the Cross and then up North Street before splitting and going our separate ways. The Silver Vixen was distracted by a ceramicist from whom she has purchased items in the past and the Gorse Fox wandered back to East Street. As he passed the Whitewell Galleries he noticed a new painting in the window and had to go in to have a look.
Ooops.
The painting was the latest by Akiyama, and had only just been put on display. (It's almost as if it was meant to be!) A few minutes later, the Gorse Fox had parted with some coin of the realm and we had it secured. Now he would just have to discuss it with the Silver Vixen.
A while later, we met up again - the Silver Vixen had finished her shopping. The Gorse Fox was clasping new item of ceramic she had selected and we headed back. We stopped at the Galleries and the Silver Vixen was taken in to see the painting. She loved it. The Gorse Fox heaved a sigh of relief and explained he had placed a deposit on it - all we needed to work out was where on earth we's hand it! That, however, is a puzzle for another day.
We had to wait a while for the bus. They are meant to run every 10 minutes so we were confused by the departure bard saying the next one was in 18 minutes. Those 18 minutes were quite chilly, but once on the bus we were home quickly. A few minutes after we got in Pistol Pete turned up to collect some tablets for Urban-Cub. Her back is playing her up at present and normal pain killers weren't cutting the mustard.
