Despite Jasper having a yowling session between 2:30 and 3:30 this morning, I felt as if I had slept well and was up and about soon after 6:30. The morning started with a shower, some coffee, and a review of the news, and then some porridge. I had my usual call with the cousins and we had a good turnout today. There was a lot of reminiscing and discussions about Margate and the environs. I listened, but could not contribute.
After the call, I went round with the vacuum cleaner before heading off for a walk. I was out for just over an hour and got within a few minutes of the end of my latest audiobook. I left it playing when I got home so that I could hear the end and download another ready for my next walk.
After lunch, I went to read in the Orangery, but had to retire to the lounge as it was too hot in the Orangery. Over the next couple of hours, I finished the second book by Sato Ramu "The Grave in the Ice". Again, I thoroughly recommend it and can't wait for the 3rd book in the series (due later this year).
I had a Chef Akila curry for dinner tonight. It was Pepper Chicken and was very good. I tried her Chennai Biryani earlier in the week, but found that dry and bland.
