I eased myself into consciousness just before 7 this morning. Diane was also awake, but elected to stay in bed and await the delivery of a cup of tea. By any measure, it was a gentle start to the day.
I spent the morning wrestling with the integration of Gmail with the document system. Despite restarting the whole process and, apparently, getting further than before, it is still not working. Judging by the suggestions I have had from the forum, I suspect nobody has it working in a similar configuration to mine. The whole morning disappeared on this. It was so frustrating.
Diane, on the other hand, had been experiencing difficulties with a pattern she had cut out yesterday. Though it has taken her most of the day, she is now happy that she has it right.
We saw Ellie briefly as she popped in to tell us about yesterday evening when Zoe took her down to the front to see the parade of lights and the beach to watch the firework display.
I spent some of the afternoon finishing (and starting) another book, and also curating the addition of some more titles to my Kindle library and some more documents to my document management system.
