Ellie had been dropped off just after 6:30 and had a lazy couple of hours before Nana convinced her that she needed a bath and hairwash... so she had another lazy hour while performing her ablutions. I buried myself in my study and continued with my document filing, managing today to process all the old water supply and water disposal bills, and all of the Council Tax bills. Getting them into the "hopper" only takes a couple of seconds, but it took an hour or so for all the documents to feed through into the filing system. I then had to check that all of the dates had been processed correctly, that relevant tags had been assigned, and that the relevant suppliers had been identified. It was very satisfying when done.
The rain returned after lunch, and we had several more downpours, some of which were accompanied by rolling thunder. Ellie stayed in (obviously) and played pick-up sticks with Nana before wanting Nana to tickle her. I sat in the corner with my Kindle.
Pete came along to collect Ellie just before 5pm. She'll be at Pete's for the weekend... then she'll be going back to school on Tuesday. (I'm not sure Ellie or the school are quite ready for that!)
