Better, but still a way to go

Ellie ended up staying with us overnight. She said she didn't want to get up early and by staying with us, she could wake up as nature demanded, rather than what Mum needed. I was up soon after seven, Di at eight and we went and woke Ellie soon after nine. She had to get up and get going as we were expecting Lottie, and had to get to Sainsbury's.

We managed to catch up on Lottie's holiday before heading off to Sainsbury's. With Ellie and Di acting as runners, we seemed to complete the shopping much more quickly than usual.

After some lunch, Ellie and I went out for a walk. Well, I say walk, but she was on her bike and stopped at every junction to ask which way she should go. It was only a third of my usual route, but she seemed to enjoy it.

Jasper had seemed brighter today, but still hasn't recovered his full appetite. We had an appointment for him at 16:30. We took him to the vet and she gave him the once-over and some fluids. She has effectively signed him off unless we find that he isn't improving tomorrow.
