Ellie slept well and wandered in to our room at about 7:10. She threw her favourite cushion onto the bed between us and leapt over the Silver Vixen. The day had started! The Gorse Fox went downstairs with Ellie to give the Silver Vixen a few more minutes peace and a few minutes to come to terms with the day.
The weather was gorgeous again. No clouds interrupted the blue of the sky, and there was a fresher feel to the air.
Urban-Cub had been at a works "do" and came along to collect Ellie around 9:00.
Jasper has been off his food for a few days. We cannot seem to find a recipe that he will eat. He seems to lick the gravy and take a few mouthfuls then give up. The Silver Vixen discussed this with Lady Penelope who suggested a particular yoghurt-like food. The Gorse Fox headed off to Sainsbury's. Two packs of this food were added to the trolley along with some mousse-like delicacies that he might like. To be fair, he has eaten the yoghurt-like food but, so far, ignored the rest. We'll see how it goes. He does seem a little more active today.
The rest of the day has been spent reading in the garden or the Orangery. (The Gorse Fox like to read in the garden, but finds that sitting in the shade he starts to get chilly. "Move into the sun" you might say - particularly as our garden is bathed in full sun most of the day, but no, the Gorse Fox doesn't like sitting in the direct sun so he raises the parasol and sits in the shade).
