It was a lovely sunny start to the day. It looked promising.
The Gorse Fox had his cousins' call... though several were absent this morning. It was still interesting to see one cousin, at 9:15 in the morning, sitting next to a BBQ which was cooking her breakfast, while she worked her way through some Bloody Marys.
Betty and Barney Rubble came to visit. We made the most of the weather and sat in the garden over coffee and the latest family updates from both sides. We also hear about their recent (missionary) trip to Yorkshire. It sounds like they had a very nice time and had the chance to visit the house they lived in when a young married couple. You can't beat a bit of nostalgia.
For lunch we headed to Fino's. The Silver Vixen and Gorse Fox had lovely meals but Betty Rubble found the King Prawns a bit chewy. Worse still, Barney Rubble had to send his seafood risotto back as the fish was overcooked and the rice was dry. He swapped to a different dish entirely and was quite happy with that.
Back home, we all had a quiet afternoon chatting in the garden.
