The Gorse Fox started the day with a call from one of his cousins. He called to pass on the news that his aunt had been given a terminal diagnosis of 6-12 months. Apparently, though into her 90s, she is fully aware and still cheerful and at peace with the diagnosis. She will be a great loss when the time comes as she was a great support to the Gorse Fox and his little sister when we were growing up, after our parents had died.
The rest of the day has been fairly uneventful. The Silver Vixen has been sewing and the Gorse Fox has been working on the family tree. Recent changes in Bothe Family Tree Maker and in Ancestry had caused problems with, despite many sessions with the developers, could not be resolved. The Gorse Fox resorted to Pain B. A backup from June was restored and uploaded to Ancestry as a brand new tree. Various obscure checks have been made and the Gorse Fox is fairly happy that all is well. The new tree is now his default for all work.
This afternoon, the Gorse Fox has been sitting in the warmth of the Orangery and had read another book. He still seems to be polishing off a book a day.
