Goals

It was a quiet start. It was dry but cloudy. The Gorse Fox had football on the schedule and the Silver Vixen was planning a visit to a local nursery.

We swapped the cars around and the Gorse Fox headed off to Chichester. The Coventry Hobbit was playing with us today and the east that the Gorse Fox could do was to give him a lift. A tournament was under way at Ford. It was hard to see just how many games were in play at any one time, but the Gorse Fox would have thought at least 10, with ages ranging for 6-ish up to teenagers. Thank goodness they were parked at the other side of the Arena... allowing us to park without a problem.

The game started with a bang and within 10 minutes the Gorse Fox's "yellow" team were about 4 or 5-1 up. It was clear that the sides were wrong. We swapped two players At half time the score was still in the yellow's favour, but only about 9-6 (the Gorse Fox had scored). At half-time, we again adapted the teams. This was a lot closer. Goals started to  rack up. The Coventry Hobbit scored at least 5 and at the final whistle, the orange team had pipped us by 1 goal. It was great fun... up until the point where the Coventry Hobbit tried to wipe-out his father-in-law. The pain will, eventually, die down - but he needn't expect a Birthday present in September! :)

It has been a quiet afternoon with the exception of Jasper deciding on two separate occasions to vomit, This meant using the spot-cleaner to sort out the mess on the carpets. At least it has been a while since his last mess.
