Carnivore

The weather has been beautiful. It has been bright and sunny and the sky has been blue for most of the day. There was a slightly cooling breeze, but nothing worth worrying about.

The morning started with the usual cousins' call. For this week, the Gorse Fox used a backdrop of Arundel Castle, explaining that he had left his study and was down by the gatehouse. He isn't sure that most of them  bought the illusion, but is hopeful that it triggered palpitations for his socialist cousin.

After the call he had to wander into the village to post some photos back to another cousin. On his way back, he stopped at the mobile butcher and managed to pick up some Cumberland sausages (there were no Lincolnshire sausages left this week) and a kilo of lamb leg steaks. All of this took a while to separate, package, and drop into the freezer but will provide at least one meal a week for the next month or so.

The Silver Vixen had been pottering in the garden. The Gorse Fox was asked to mount a couple of solar lamps. These are very Moroccan in style and give off a wonderfully subtle pattern and light when the sun goes down. It didn't take more than a few minutes, but hopefully will look really nice tonight.

Cousteau-Cub and the Coventry Hobbit dropped in during the afternoon. They had been out car hunting for the Coventry Hobbit. They had found a couple of candidate vehicles, but needed to do some further internet research before committing. In the end, they left without a conclusion but hopefully would be able to complete the transaction in the next day or so, (The Coventry Hobbit is playing football with the Gorse Fox tomorrow, so he will catch up on progress in the morning).
