The Gas Man Cometh

There was a lot of very heavy rain over night. It hadn't stopped when it was time for the Gorse Fox to head round and escort Ellie and Urban-Cub to school. Fortunately, a good rain jacket and an umbrella were protection enough to get the job done.

It was a quiet morning. The Silver Vixen started on the twice yearly migration of clothes between the wardrobe and storage. Summer clothes emerged, winter clothes went into storage or were set aside for the charity shop.

The Gorse Fox, meanwhile, did the week's accounts and then buried himself in the recent photos. He realised, last night, that handling the facial recognition was easier from the iPad than from the iMac. Once sufficient filing had been checked, he downloaded the photos to his Lightroom library.

After lunch we awaited the man from the gas board. He was here for the annual service of the boiler. Fortunately, it passed with flying colours and still has the highest eco-rating. (For those of you that haven't heard Flanders & Swan's rendition of The Gas Man Cometh he recommend following the link).

The sun had finally broken through and it was quite warm by the time we had to collect Ellie. We stopped off at the park on the way back and let her have a good run around. She's now fed and watered and is just settling down to sleep,

Meanwhile, Cousteau-Cub is in the air. She has a long weekend in Gran Canaria, staying with some friends. Hopefully, she'll have a good break.
