With the impending raising of the cap on energy prices, the Gorse Fox was alerted yesterday evening by a Tweet from Martin Lewis. He was recommending a particular tariff from E.On (our energy supplier). The Gorse Fox decided the morning was better spent investigating this than playing football. So it was that he logged in to his E.On account. He was immediately bounced out. He tried again. He was bounced again. This carried on for nearly 30 minutes. He went off and read some emails.
He tried E.On again. This time he got on. He searched for the recommended tariff. Ppppphhhht! It had gone. It was clearly too popular and was closed down at midnight. After some consideration, the Gorse Fox chose the replacement tariff. It was 15% more expensive, but it was still cheaper that the variable tariff was likely to become when the cap is raised. The Gorse Fox feels desperately sorry for those who can't afford such a huge uplift.
The Silver Vixen was out with a friend for much of the day, so the Gorse Fox pottered around on various inconsequential tasks. Urban-Cub has just dropped Ellie off with us for the night. She has an early start in the morning.
