Talking of fish

Well, Ellie slept through until just before 7:00. In fact the Gorse Fox was about to get up anyway. The morning followed the usual agenda with the exception that Urban-Cub managed to pop in to walk with us to school. She had already done several hours work, and would be going to work later.

After breakfast we had the usual shopping delivery and then headed off for the top-up shop at Sainsbury's. The school is doing a collection for Ukraine, so while we were at the shops we picked up a load of additional items that we could donate.

Once everything was packed away, the Gorse Fox had to do something about our corner of the Sahara. He hoped the hose would be enough, but that proved totally inadequate. Out came the jet-wash. Slowly, the patio reverted from a pinkish covering of sand to the black porcelain that it was designed to be. Once the patio was done (and the patio furniture), the Gorse Fox headed out to the front to give the cars a good hose down. Soaked, but satisfied he tidied away.

This afternoon we had to collect Ellie from school then take her to her swimming lesson. She did really well. She was able to put her head in the water, to go under, to move round on her back though not quite float. SHe's not quite a fish yet, but she'll get there like Urban-Cub and Cousteau-Cub.
