Too Good to be true

A gentle start to the day followed by a drive across to Ford for the obligatory football. It t was an interesting mix of players today. Most were good, without being exceptional. This made for a good friendly game with no egos on show. The Gorse Fox had selected the teams and his algorithm had created an attack/dense imbalance. The Yellow team were predominantly attackers. The Gorse Fox's Orange team were predominantly defenders. With today's make up, this meant the Gorse Fox had to attack far more than usual. The final score worked out 6-4 in the Orange teams favour. The Gorse Fox managed a hat-trick, had one ball roll along the goal line, hit both posts, and hit the cross bar. It was nice to wander across the halfway line for a change.

Back home he returned to the Silver Vixen's enigmatic grandmother. As the Gorse Fox suspected, yesterday's breakthroughs were too good to be true. Some of yesterday's hypotheses and finds unravelled but in so doing they started to tally with the reminiscences that the Silver Vixen's Aunt Queenie had written down. Whilst some of the original thoughts weren't quite correct, the information started to stack up. There are still some anomalies that need to be bottomed out. The Gorse Fox is, however, convinced he is on the right track. He has to keep reminding himself that the DNA doesn't lie... but suspects he will never find her great-grandfather on that side of the family.
