It is the countdown to Christmas and the Gorse Fox and Silver Vixen are looking after Ellie during the day, as school has now broken-up. This meant that we were up at the same time as on school days, but there was no rush to get everything done.
Once we were all ready, we drove in to Chichester. We had some more food shopping on our list as Ocado wouldn't be delivering this week. We created a single list and started at Lidl where we managed to see Urban-Cub and her boss before we left. We got more than half of the items there, then dropped them off at home and the Gorse Fox went back out to Sainsbury's to fulfil the rest of the list. Lidl had been quite civilised, but Sainsbury's was a bit of a zoo. It was very busy and infested by people wandering round in a trance-like state or blocking aisles as they stopped to chat with other shoppers. The Gorse Fox thinks that the little handsets that are used for their "Smart Shopping" experience ought to be adapted to contain a) an air horn; and b) a taser.
We've had a quiet afternoon with Ellie. To start with she wanted to do some writing, then some colouring, and finally wanted to go to a show. This latter item involved moving all the chairs into rows and sitting to watch the TV. We managed to give her dinner during the intermission!
