Switch

The Silver Vixen had plans for the day - she wanted to get on with some sewing projects (and manage the washing machine as an interesting distraction). The Gorse Fox had no solid plans - for him today would "evolve".

The first evolution was the realisation that we needed some fresh vegetables. Our recent run of home-made soups has decimated the vegetable drawer and we needed some reinforcements for lunch. Deciding to kill two birds with one metaphorical stone, the Gorse Fox walked round to Sainsbury's. This provided the fresh veg, and some exercise. To make the most of the walk the Gorse Fox flicked on his bluetooth headphones and listened to an "Audible" book as he marched. This made for a very pleasant hour and refreshed the tomatoes, and sweet potatoes in the larder.

Would it come as a surprise if the Gorse Fox said we had soup for lunch? Well some tomatoes, butternut squash, sweet potato, carrot, and green pepper found their way into the Tefal soup maker and 23 minutes later we had a delicious and filling soup.

The Gorse Fox has also been distracted by new childcare spreadsheet for the new year. This has been a source of fun for a few hours as all the conditional formatting was applied and the formulae developed to provide the relevant summary sheets. It is now looking pretty good.

The Silver Vixen received an email from Vodafone with the "unlock" information. The Gorse Fox has spent the balance of the afternoon switching her phone over from Vodafone to BT. It's done now, but we still have to wait in order to get her old number re-assigned. Hopefully we can get that underway later. The Gorse Fox has sent Urban-Cub and Cousteau-Cub the temporary number, just in case.
