Cards

There was a very wet start to the day, but it seems to have dried up during the afternoon. The Gorse Fox had a lie-in this morning, not rising until nearly 7:30. He was aware that he had had some bizarre dreams during the night, but by the time he made some coffee they had melted away.

We had agreed to take Lady Penelope in to St Richard's Hospital at 10:00. She was visiting Old Bill but had a prior appointment with the nurses to learn about the care he would need. Since then we have heard that, with a following wind, he could be home tomorrow - much to everyone's amazement.

We went on to Chichester from the hospital. The Silver Vixen has received a new debit card from the bank and we cannot seem to get it to activate. We dropped in to Nat West and chatted with the chap there. A new PIN has been requested and hopefully that will sort everything out.

The rest of the day has been remarkably quiet. The Gorse Fox finished his 97th book since the summer and started on the 98th. The 98th is a new author (to the Gorse Fox) and the start of another series. The Silver Vixen carried on working through her current book.

The other distraction, today, has been a flurry of emails from the Band of Brothers regarding pictures and memories from our collective youth. Despite the original saying, nostalgia IS what it is cracked up to be.
