Little steps

The Gorse Fox woke soon after 4 am. By 5:30 he was still wide awake and he was getting fidgety. He got up and made some tea and read the overnight news. At 7:00 he took some tea to the Silver Vixen and Ellie soon emerged.

He decided there would be no football today. His cold is troublesome and it would be pointless pushing his luck.

After the school run, we settled down for some breakfast and then the Gorse Fox retuned to the family tree. Today was focused on one branch of the family. It started with a first draft of a book and then there followed several passes of tidying up the text and the supporting documents. Each pass was a little step forward. While at it, the Gorse Fox went back to the various data sources to see if any new information was available. After several hours of searching and a lot of lateral thinking, he concluded there was nothing new. It seems that all branches of his family that stem from Ireland disappear somewhere in the Irish Sea as he can find no relevant records, prior to their arrival in England or Scotland, in the North or South of Ireland.

His cold hasn't improved much during the day so the Gorse Fox has emailed his apologies and cried off tomorrow's football as well.
