Birthday Lunch

 Today is the Silver Vixen's birthday. The Gorse Fox left her to enjoy a cup of tea in bed and open her cards and luxuriate in a quiet and lazy morning.

We had arranged to meet up with the girls for lunch at the Giggling Squid. We arrived first and settled down in the booth to await the others. Urban-Cub had collected Cousteau-Cub and the Coventry Hobbit on her way through and they all wandered in with presents, flowers and cards.

We examined the lunchtime menu and the main evening menu and selected dishes from both. Cousteau-Cub and the Gorse Fox asked for their dishes to be "wound up a bit, Thai style". The Silver Vixen asked for hers to be wound down, and the Coventry Hobbit and Urban-Cub both took theirs as it came.

We had a lovely couple of hours chatting about what had been going on, Jon's new job, Ellie, Cousteau-Cub's pending job and so forth. It was a fun family time and it's always nice to all get together.
