We had our first morning where frost decorated (outside of) the Orangery roof. We were lovely and warm inside, but it had clearly been very cold overnight. Urban-Cub dropped Ellie off and the usual schedule kicked in. We dropped her off at school then headed home.
The Silver Vixen planned to take some clothes to the charity shop, so we switched cars and the Gorse Fox took his car across to Worthing. There were not as many players today as usual, for a Tuesday. There had been a tournament yesterday, so clearly some were taking a rest. The teams were chosen and the Gorse Fox knew he was in for a torrid time. He was playing, like a few weeks back, with a chap that has no concept of disciplined defending. As a result he often found himself outnumbered 3-1. It goes without saying that we lost all three games. The Gorse Fox was pleased with the way he played, having intercepted and blocked several certain goals.
We collected Ellie from school. She was in a playful mood and was happy to amuse herself with the toys after we had been through some phonics with her. She is doing very well with character recognition and associating them with the correct sounds.
