Simon arrived at eight this morning. He's a hard worker. He's meant to have a labourer with him, but had to sack the last one for taking drugs while on the job. With no replacement, he's doing it all himself. By late morning the rest of the decking frame was stripped away and disposed of. He returned with lasers, a plate whacker, measuring lines, and a digger.
Over the afternoon he measured out the levels and placed the markers ready for tomorrow. Ellie was intrigued by the plate whacker and excited to see the digger (even though it wasn't used). Simon commented that the it was the easiest preparation he has had. There was no digging out to do, all he had to do was compact the surface with the plate whacker.
Not much else to report today... the submission of the online shopping list, and spin twice round the estate for some exercise. That's about it.
