Impressed

The Gorse Fox is impressed. The replacement iPhone arrived at 11 o'clock and whilst it is a refurbished model (identical to that which was lost) it looks pristine. The Gorse Fox plugged it in to ensure it was fully charged and it immediately woke up and started the initialisation process. Once the language was set it asked whether to set up automatically or manually. The Gorse Fox chose automatically. It paired itself with the iPad, downloaded the latest IOS software, then started to restore the last backup (this is still running, but there was a lot to recover!).

While all this was going on, the iPhone and iWatch asked if they should be paired. Yes. A few minutes later they were back in sync and all of the data the watch had gathered for the past couple of days was updated on the iPhone.

The Gorse Fox cannot believe how simple and effective this whole process has been. Besides the completion of the restore from backup, the only thing he is waiting on is the replacement SIM card, but that should arrive in the next 48 hours.

The Apple kit may be expensive, but it just works and is all so seamless.
