Strolling around

It was a nice day. Cool, but very sunny. The Gorse Fox had time to make coffee again this morning, before Ellie came down for breakfast. Once breakfasts were all done, Urban-Cub and the Gorse Fox walked Ellie round to Dizzy Ducklings then headed home for a fairly typical Thursday morning.

First there was the Ocado delivery, then the accounts. Once these were tucked away the Gorse Fox headed off to Sainsbury's for the bits he wanted to hand-pick.

As it was such a nice day the Gorse Fox decided that another walk along the promenade at Bognor Regis was on the agenda. Parking at West Park he headed out into the sunshine, through Marine Gardens, and along towards the pier.

The tide was out and it was tempting to walk along the beach, but the Gorse Fox didn't want to get his shoes all salty and sandy, so stuck to promenade. He passed the pier, and carried on up past the bandstand, past Butlins and around the corner to The Lobster Pot (which was closed).

Turning around at the 3km mark, he started his walk back. By this time he was walking into the wind. This made it a little more strenuous, and seemed a little cooler. He looped back past the pier and observed up ahead two elderly couples meeting up at one of the benches along the prom. As he approached, he could see them rummaging in their plastic bags. Out came some cans of tonic water, and full bottle of vodka. It was obviously going to be an interesting afternoon for some! As he approached Marine Gardens there was a gaggle of ladies of uncertain years getting dried off after their swim. Very brave he thought. The Gorse Fox wouldn't do it.

Finally, he arrived back at the car and headed home for lunch and then went out with the Silver Vixen to collect Ellie. Normally, Urban-Cub would go, but she had a telephone interview. This seemed to go very well and she should hear tomorrow whether she has got through to the next stage. Fingers crossed.
