The Silver Vixen and Gorse Fox went across to see Cousteau-Cub and the Coventry Hobbit in Chichester this morning and to have a look at what they had been doing in their garden (while enjoying a cup of tea). It was a lovely hour or so and it was nice to see how well they are getting on.
Urban-Cub and Ellie stayed put. Ellie was told that unless she got washed and dressed she was not going out anywhere... and so it was! She refused to get washed and dressed so Urban-Cub refused to take her out. They had a quiet day in the garden, instead.
When we got back from Chichester, the Gorse Fox went back to his study and returned to the code he was sent last night. This, it was said, would cross reference a program and also reformat it to look nice. The Gorse Fox is not worried about the latter (he write pretty programs anyway), but the first bit was what he was after.
It took a lot of work. It was the sort of code that demands a smack round the ear for the programmer. Almost devoid of commentary, meaningless variable names, and a very peculiar structure. The Gorse Fox dug his heels in and started to rip it apart and rebuild it properly. By late afternoon he had a working version. There is a lot more commentary and documentation to write, but currently it does the trick. Tick for the Gorse Fox.
