Tape measure and space pressure

Today has been filled with little distractions. We started the day with the usual Ocado delivery and that was followed by some admin. It was time for the Gorse Fox to write back to the Insurance company and explain that it is no good asking for us to phone them if they aren't going to answer the phone.

Again, the Gorse Fox spent a stupid amount of time trying to find appropriate accommodation for a short break with Urban-Cub and Ellie. Clearly, we have left it too late for many of the prime spots. Our disappointment is eased by the fact that we have just heard that the cattery has no availability for the week that we would wish to travel, so that's that.

The Silver Vixen has had an idea about an incredible storage cabinet for her sewing and all its paraphernalia. This ended up taking a great deal of time as we measured and pondered various locations. Most of the preferred locations just wouldn't work as they were too small or just not suitable. There is a Plan B, but the Gorse Fox isn't sure whether the Silver Vixen is really convinced. Nothing is likely to happen until the New Year anyway, so we have time to think about it.
