As the Gorse Fox was leaving the car park, he saw a sign "Have You Paid & Displayed?"Well, the answer was "Yes, many times". The Gorse Fox, however, decided that wit was not appropriate when dealing with Parking Nazis. Realising he had no change he had to buy a Choc Ice in order to free up the £2 necessary for the ticket.
After the delayed start, he headed out again.
From the top of the Downs, there was a wonderful view down over Westmeston, nestling at the foot of the northern slopes.
Looking eastwards along the northern scarp of the Downs. This is the direction the South Downs Way takes. The Gorse Fox, however, had other plans.
