Ministers pave presided over a pensions scandal "more momentous" than Robert Maxwell's plundering from retirement fundsOh well, just another deluded back-bencher...?
Well, actually no. He is the chairman of the Commons Public Accounts Committee. But, since when has this government been accountable to the public?
He also warned of constitutional issues raised by the Government's rejection of the watchdog's damning finding into the scandal.
Well this Government wouldn't care would it? After all, they sacked their sleaze watchdog when she asked difficult questions. They hid behind Hutton's white-wash in the row with the BBC over the "dossier". Why should they listen to a watchdog, or the Public Accounts Committee?
On Radio 4, Tony Wright admitted:
"We are in new territory which is unsettling"
"I think this raises constitutional issues because the whole point about the ombudsman is that it this is an independent investigator set up by Parliament to look at public bodies, Government departments."
"So She has a right to expect her findings of maladministration to be repected"
Poor deluded fool.
